Recently the asphalt team at RJ Evans carried out emergency asphalt repair work at 'The Tower Of London'. The reason for this repair work was because one of 'The Battlements' was experiencing water ingress issues. To remedy this problem we lifted the aged slabs and identified a defective rainwater outlet.
With the defective rainwater outlet identified we cut back around the rainwater outlet and installed 2 new coats of mastic asphalt as the incumbent asphalt had been installed over 100 years ago. Once the asphalt was installed, the slabs were replaced and the water ingress issue was resolved.
